2020 Ruck 22 March to End Veteran Suicide

The Royal Oak Veterans Events Committee holds the Ruck 22 March every year to raise awareness of the national problem of veteran suicide. By some estimates, 22 vets commit suicide every day. Every year, we ask that marchers load their rucks with 22 lbs. of donations for needy veterans, or 22 items to contribute, and give $22 to enter the march. This year, the march has gone virtual, but our mission is still the same. Raise money for veteran non-profits and raise awareness of this pressing and heartbreaking issue.Enter the march today, pledge $22 to the fight, and we’ll send you a Ruck 22 beanie hat. Wear it when you lace up your boots this November 7th and march on your own to continue the mission.All proceeds will go to the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 154. They do phenomenal work providing for needy and homeless veterans throughout Southeast Michigan. In years past, VVA Chapter 154 has volunteered their time and resources to collect all donations and distribute to those most in need. Your pledge will continue their fine and honorable work.
