About this campaign
Bay Area Black Deaf Advocates is all about advocating, empowering, and uplifting the Black Deaf community in the Bay Area and beyond! In such unprecedented times, BABDA must not waver from its mission and lose engagement for our Black Deaf Youth. We need to build a scholarship fund so we can support and send our Black Deaf Youth to colleges, universities, and training schools.
Here's why we are having a t-shirt fundraiser to raise funds for our Black Deaf Youth Scholarship Fund. Since last year when we first launched our "Juneteenth" T-shirt Fundraiser, we exceeded our expectations! On June 19, 2021, we are thrilled to award two scholarship recipients of $1,000 each to two high school graduates who will be attending college this fall. We want to encourage our Black Deaf/HH youth and remind them that they are not alone. We are in this together and it is our responsibility to empower them with tools to be prepared for their future.
