2022 Prevent Wildfires T-Shirt

Our Story: Hawaii Wildfire Management Organization, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, was founded by fire managers, conservationists, ranchers, and natural resource managers on Hawaii Island. Maintaining its proactive and collaborative approach, the organization grew to become a hub for wildfire projects and collaborations across the state and Pacific, providing technical wildfire expertise, developing Community Wildfire Protection Plans, developing and disseminating wildfire education materials, and co-leading the Firewise Communities program (with State Division of Forestry and Wildlife) and the Pacific Fire Exchange (with University of Hawaii and US Forest Service). We are humbled to work with communities, natural resource managers, agencies, elected officials, farmers, teachers, conservationists, and more to address wildfire issues across Hawaii and the Pacific Islands Area.

From summit to sea, our air, lands, and waters are drastically impacted by wildfire. Together, with our partners we are aiming for communities to become adapted to their wildfire risks, lands and waters that can withstand and recover from wildfire, and safe & effective wildland firefighting.
