This reminds us that we will not forget those that gave their lives for the freedoms we enjoy. I feel obligated and honored to support The Wall.
One of my senior English class assignments was to write a letter to a man whose son had been killed in Vietnam. This produced several years of correspondence and after 39 years I still have all his sons poems while written in Vietnam, letters, etc.
I served on the USS SARATOGA (CV 60). We operated in the Gulf of Tonkin in 1972 & 1973. I lost friends and colleagues in the War.
My Dad was a Marine in Vietnam & he recently passed away.
Because "The Wall That Heals" is coming to our town in August 2022.
Coming from a large military family with son currently serving in Army, this is very special to our hearts as well as men and women who served and still serving. God Bless.
I have the greatest respect for those who fought and died for our country.
