Able Advocates

Mission
Raising and advocating for a child with special needs can be a long and tiresome road, but you don't have to be alone! Able Advocates aides parents in acquiring information and supporting one another along the journey, especially in those moments of overwhelm and confusion. We believe in advocating for—and one day delivering—the quality care that our wonderful children deserve.
Able Advocates provides services and equipment when families are denied or waiting for insurance.

What we do
* Assist every client that comes our way regardless of their disability.
* Equip parents to interface with insurance companies, hospitals, doctors, equipment companies, and schools.
* Advocate for the health, education and equipment needs of individual children.
* Provide various resources, support, equipment fitting, and much needed supplies to families.
* Purchase, refurbish, loan and transport specialized equipment to our clients

How we do it
In 2017, we provided services for over 1,200 families. Services included advocacy, support groups, equipment and fittings, physical therapy and adaptive sports. Our funds were generated from small donations from families, donors, service clubs and personal funds. Countless volunteer hours were donated from professionals who believe in us. In 2018, we will continue to do our work, as that is what we are passionate about! Please consider helping and supporting children with special needs.
