About this campaign

Funds raised by selling these T-shirts (available in two different cuts) will support BeanCity Gaming, Inc. as we grow and expand beyond our flagship gaming event, BeanCon. We will use these funds to start a grant initiative for up-and-coming game designers and artists, create a forum where creators can come share ideas and knowledge about making it in the business, provide pro-bono legal advice, and more!

WHO WE ARE We are a grassroots organization of gamers who want to make tabletop gaming accessible and inviting to everyone to wants to play.

WHERE WE COME FROM Like many great ideas, the concept of BeanCity Gaming, Inc. and our flagship event, BeanCon, started as an idea tossed around at the end of a fun gaming session with friends. We wanted a gaming convention that put representation, diversity, and convention safety at the top of their priorities.

We started BeanCity Gaming, Inc. as our non-profit organization and started to organize BeanCon as a way to expand the thriving Boston gaming scene with an event that celebrates all members of the tabletop gaming community in a safe and inclusive environment. We’re a Massachusetts-based non-profit (with nationwide aspirations!) and currently are applying for IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exemption status.

OUR GOALS In addition to hosting BeanCon, as a charity organization, BeanCity Gaming will raise funds to help promote non-traditional creators in the gaming community, as well as donate to organizations that support women, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and peoples of color.
