About this campaign

Raise Awareness

Bentley’s is 9 years old and was diagnosed in utero at 20 weeks with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (half a heart.) He underwent four open heart surgeries within the first three years of his life. After his fourth open heart surgery Bentley developed PLE (Protein Loosing Enteropathy.) Our team decided it was time that Bentley be put on the transplant list for a new heart. On December 15th, 2020 at 8:17pm Bentley was listed for a new heart. Bentley is listed status 1b and is waiting at home in which we are overly grateful for. The highest listing status is 1a which requires to be admitted to the hospital and on IV medications. As of 6/28/22 Bentley has been listed for 560 days. Bentley enjoys spending time with his friends and family. Baseball is Bentley’s whole life. He continues to defy the odds daily and lives each day to its fullest.
