About this campaign
Chandler was born with Cystic Fibrosis and is now in need of a double lung transplant. At this point he is working with doctors to meet the transplant requirements and be added to the list. Breathing and daily activities have become an exhausting challenge for him. We appreciate all of those that are praying for him on a daily basis and all of those who help keep his spirits lifted up by sending cards, Facebook, text notes and visits. We do believe in the power of prayer and a positive support group to help guide him and us through this Journey. Thank you so very much!
My son, Chandler, 22 years old, has Cystic Fibrosis. He lives at home with us and his older brother
and is on Oxygen 24/7. Cystic Fibrosis is a life threatening disease that
primarily affects the lungs and digestive system. Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic lung disease
which causes a thick, sticky mucous to build up in the lungs and other areas of
the body. Chandler has come to a point in his life where
he now needs a lung transplant and has begun the process of getting on the lung
transplant waiting list. This process involves numerous trips to and from
Greenville, SC to the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in
Charleston, SC, which is 430 miles round trip, along with lodging and
food. He will also need to reserve an
airline ticket for when he gets the 'call' to come for the operation...and she
needs to get there within 4 hours of getting the call because time is so
critical in order for these transplants to be successful. This is an enormous
task and will be very demanding in every aspect on him and our family's life. Nobody
can do this alone. The last thing Chandler or our family needs is to worry
about having the means to make all this possible. I'm asking all my friends and family to please
open your hearts to Chandler Brown and our family. Please help to minimize our
burdens the most we can so they can focus on what is truly important...giving Chandler
a chance to know what it means to Breathe Easy, a second chance to live his
life freely.
God has already started blessing this process. He has started providing answers in ways no one can imagine. Where I did not see a way, God provided one. The Lord is teaching me daily to live one day at a time, to put my faith in him, to lean on him for all things. I do not know where this adventure will take my son or family, I do not know for sure what struggles we will face, but I do know this, that with the support and love of our Heavenly Father all will be right, and with the support and love of our family and friends all will work to God’s plan for all of us and God will provide for us in every way.

my niece and nephew have CF. They have been blessed with a new drug that may have saved their lives. I pray that the same happens for chandler and all others suffering from CF.
