About this campaign

The money raised from the sell of the shirts will go to the Chelan County Regional Jail's Narcotics K-9 Program. The money will be used to support the new K-9 when he or she arrives to jail with their handler in November. This will allow for the purchase of equipment and general care for this amazing dog.

The Chelan County Regional Jail in Wenatchee Washington recognized the need for a drug interdiction program within its facility. This program was implemented this year, with the installation of a mail scanner and body scanner to help detect narcotics that were being smuggled in. The third part of the program is the use of a drug sniffing dog. In 2019, Deputy Jacob Lewis was selected to be jail's first K-9 Handler. Along with being the first handler for the jail, Deputy Lewis and his soon to be partner will also be the 2nd dedicated K-9 team for a county jail in the State of Washington. Deputy Lewis and his K-9 partner will also be utilized within the community, assisting other agencies when needed. Right now the jail is asking the community to help support this much needed program. Like most law enforcement agencies, the jail's K-9 program is being supported through donations and support from the community and local businesses. On behalf of the Chelan County Regional Jail, we thank you for your support.

As a veteran military K-9 handler, former Corrections Deputy and current deputy with the Chelan County Sheriff's Office I see a definite need for such a canine (drug dog). The deterrent factor alone will be invaluable. CCRJC has my support!
