Unite to fight CHD in New England! Most people are unaware that Congenital Heart Defects (CHDs) are the most common birth defect in America, affecting approximately one in one hundred, or 40,000 newborns each year. CHDs are the most common cause of infant deaths related to birth defects -- and sadly, 25 percent of babies born with a critical CHD will not survive to celebrate their first birthday. Despite the progress made in understanding and treating CHDs, more research is needed. MANY thanks for your participation!
