"Beyond Boots 'n' Bars" Book

Clubfoot C.A.R.E.S. is a US-based advocacy group dedicated to promoting public awareness of clubfoot and the Ponseti Method to treat clubfoot, as well as educate and empower patients and their families. All funds raised will go directly to Clubfoot C.A.R.E.S to cover the costs to develop and publish Beyond Boots ‘n’ Bars, a book of inspirational real-life stories from members of the clubfoot community.

We’re aiming to cover costs such as cover design, hiring an editor, and paying the writers whose stories are selected for this book. You won’t get rich if your story is included, but we do believe you should be paid something and we’d also like to give each writer a free copy of the book. We plan to include personal experience stories from both experienced and new writers.

We’ve selected a professional editor to help each story shine while staying true to the voice and intent of each story. If you’re getting excited about this idea, that’s great, because we’re also excited! We’re not ready to receive story submissions yet though. We’re working out details about how long each story can be, and some other guidelines that will help writers understand what we’re looking for. We can say that the focus of this book will be on personal experience stories that are meaningful and relatable.
