About this campaign
We know every family and business around the world continues to be severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic as we experience this once in a lifetime crisis. In this crisis, we are trying to protect the business and our most valuable asset, our team and their families! Our team has been dedicated and committed in caring for your fur babies over the past 2 years and this will help some for their essential living expenses during these challenging times. On the business side, to help WLTDO4Y with business expenses (website, TTP software, accountant, licenses, insurances, etc.) we have incurred to keep the business up and running since closure. WLTDO4Y temporary closed March 22, 2020 to keep us and our staff safe from Coronavirus. We had no idea what that meant but we quickly realized that we had no business going forward and we didn't know for how long. It's been over a month now and we are trying to protect the business and support our biggest asset - our TEAM. Your support in this fundraiser will mean the world to us! Our story begins on January 1, 2018, we took a leap of faith and opened WLTDO4Y. We were excited and wondering when we'd get our first pet to care for. 6 months in we had a handful of clients but it shortly took off and we were so excited to see the growth. In 2019, we had a our first Spring Break with Boarding being overbooked, our walkers busy from dusk till dawn doing vacation pet sitting, and we were exhausted but we loved every minute of it! We were in awe of the client base we built from referrals, word of mouth, and our wonderful family, YOU know who you are! 2020 was going to be even better, at least that was our thought, with a client base of over 160 clients - that's hoomans not the number of pets! Wonder what that number is? WE MISS EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU! But, the beginning of March, COVID-19 fast approached. We made the decision to temporary close 3/22/20 and the cancellations started rolling in, day after day, cancellation after cancellation, all Spring Break vacations cancelled. It didn't stop there, we are still getting cancellations into June and July. We quickly realized our business had ceased and we were devastated to say the least. We lost 95% of our business. We persevered and made the best of this time by setting up a "store" on our website, marketed the homemade treats which have been a huge hit, new website and branding which we are excited to unveil at some point, and now the fundraiser. We are excited and hope you love the t-shirt and will support us! We know with these efforts, we will get to the other side of COVID-19. Thank you, everyone, for being there for us during this difficult time that we are all in. We are grateful for our health and safety and we can't tell you how much you ALL mean to us!
