TYC's Creating Change Fundraiser

UPDATE:  its the 16th and we just hit our print goal!  I want to say thank you to all of the wonderful and amazing contributors we have had up to now and we have succeeded in getting 1 youth to creating change and gaining half of the funds for the second youth! our contributions here have added up at this point to 140 dollars!  In addition to personally raised 300 for jaden,  a wonderful sponsorship from traci lowenthaal of Creative insights counseling, and 100 dollars from a trans* panel in Greeley Colorado, it comes to a total of $550 dollars raised out of the 700 needed!

We still have a fair amount to go so we hope that you will all try to help in future fundraisers as we get closer to the event!  

UPDATE:  We are only 4 shirts shy of our print minimum and have 5 days left in the campaign!  As I stated a few days earlier,  every shirt sold between the 11th and the 15th will be getting an additional 5 dollar contribution from me out of pocket adding up to a shirt that will be raffled off for free!  we are 3 shirts in on that so if we can sell 2 more shirts by tomorrow evening there will be a second shirt to raffle off!  

creating change, is the largest networking and action summit for LGBT+ organizations and it is invaluable to the mission of Trans Youth channel because it will allow us to directly speak and network with the biggest organizations.  But it is expensive.  Tickets cost 300 per person and although scholarships are available, there are few of them.  Students recieve a discount but even then trans youth channel faces a bigger problem;  our volunteers are across the country in different locations and areas. 

Your contribution through buying this t-shirt will serve as a way for us to get our volunteers to creating change and larn how to best provide resources and information to the closeted online community,  while allowing you to support your local community.  This shirt encourages a positive transgender community in your area.

UPDATE:  As long as this is a successful campaign, we have now gained enough money to send jaden prendergast to creating change, plane ticket and all!  There are only 2 more volunteers who are planning to go, so the next person will be Alex (picture below).  Lets give alex the chance to create change!
