Cure Glioblastoma is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit startup based in Silicon Beach in Los Angeles.
WHAT IS GLIOBLASTOMA: Glioblastoma is the most common and deadliest primary brain cancer. See our FAQ for more info.
THE PROBLEM: Glioblastoma outcomes have not significantly improved in DECADES. There are only a handful of approved therapies and none meaningfully extend survival.
WHAT WE DO: Our mission is to build awareness and solutions to help today's patients and are actively investing in tomorrow's solutions. Currently, we are focused on our own internal research programs housed at the MRL Lundquist Institute in Los Angeles, CA and providing scholarships and awards to the next generation of scientists and neuro-oncology innovators.
WHO ARE WE: Cure Glioblastoma is led by Shawn Carbonell, MD, PhD. Dr. Carbonell is the inventor/developer of OS2966, a new glioblastoma drug candidate based on his laboratory research at UVA, Oxford, and UCSF. OS2966 is currently in Phase I clinical trial at Moffitt Cancer Center.
Our team also includes Directors—Luzanne Otte and Barbara Blank—and founding Senior Fellows—Drs. John Boockvar and Lisa Haile.
T-SHIRTS: Super comfy tri-blend shirts feature unisex sizing. They tend to have a slimmer fit with a little stretch and they are fairly shrink-resistant.
