Help Kendall Raise Money for the Save-A-Limb Fund and Hackerman Patz House!

Last summer, Kendall was diagnosed with Perthes Disease, a rare childhood disease where the blood supply is cut off the head of the femur. This causes the bone to die. Unfortunately for Kendall, the majority of her femoral head was affected. We consulted with many surgeons and chose Dr. Standard at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, MD to treat her. The majority of Dr. Standard's patients travel to him from all over the world. We are so lucky that we only had a 45 minute drive.
After three surgeries, numerous nights in the hospital, and countless painful days spent at physical therapy, Kendall is doing amazing and hardly has any pain. We are so thankful to Dr. Standard and everyone at Sinai Hospital.
Treatment for rare orthopedic diseases is extremely expensive. The Save-A-Limb Fund helps aid families who are in need of financial assistance for medical services from Dr. Standard. We are so grateful for Kendall's amazing outcome and want to give back so that other kids has the opportunity to be helped.

ABOUT THE HACKERMAN PATZ HOUSE: After Kendall's surgery, she needed to be at the hospital almost daily for treatments. Although we are considered local patients, the 45 minute drive was far too much for her to endure initially. We stayed at the Hackerman Patz (HP) House on the hospital campus. It is a beautiful and wonderful option for families who are coming from all over the world to have their children's medical issues addressed. Everyone who works at the HP house was beyond kind and caring to us. We want to be able to donate enough money to them to have a plaque made in honor of Kendall on their wall of donors. Any money raised above this will be donated to the Save-A-Limb Fund through "Team Kendall" at the 2017 Save-A-Limb Fund Fest!
