About this campaign

On Sunday, June 23, 2019, mothers, fathers, children, grandparents, friends, co-workers, teachers and students will wind their way along the 10K (6.2 mile) WALK route through Salem. For nearly three decades, the North Shore Cancer WALK has brought together a community focused on raising funds for the fight against cancer. To date, we have raised more than $23 million. This year that mission will again be celebrated, as entertainers and supporters along the route lend a festive air to an unforgettable journey, driven by determination and inspired by hope.

Proceeds from the 2019 WALK will be used to provide support to Oncology services on the North Shore Medical Center’s Salem campus as well as for clinical trials, wellness care and other Oncology services at the Mass General/North Shore Cancer Center in Danvers.

The Howling Wolf Taqueria opened in 2009 and quickly became a downtown favorite. Popular with locals and tourists alike, the Wolf has become an integral part of Salem’s thriving foodie scene, offering up authentic Mexican cuisine, fresh margaritas, and an inimitable atmosphere. In 2018 the staff of the Howling Wolf participated in the 28th annual North Shore Cancer Walk for the first time, and thus began a new tradition. As a team, the Wolfpack raised more than $2,200 last year to benefit the North Shore Medical Center’s cancer research and treatment programs. This year we have partnered with CustomInk once again to sell limited edition, exclusive t-shirts to benefit this cause.
