About this campaign

With community volunteers and partners, Hawai'i Wildlife Fund (HWF) has removed over 200 tons (400,000 lbs) of marine debris from along the shores of Hawai'i nei since 1998. Please help join our team and pick up litter whenever you are along the shoreline, tell your friends, and rock this longsleeve t-shirt with pride ~ LOVE YOUR OCEAN!

Hawai'i Wildlife Fund (HWF) was founded in 1996 to protect the native wildlife of Hawai'i through research, education, and conservation projects.  For more info about our non-profit and current projects, please check out our website at: www.wildhawaii.org

Marine debris removal is one of our most active projects and HWF has worked  throughout the archipelago on this effort: from the south end of Hawai'i Island at the infamous Kamilo Pt (aka "plastic beach") to Ka'ehu on Maui Island and Midway in the North Western Hawaiian Islands.  Since the mid 1960's our world has become more and more reliant on single-use plastics to help make our everyday life more "convenient". In the process, we are polluting our natural habitats along the shores and in the ocean alike.

Please help us curb this trend and (a) limit the amount of single-use plastics in your life, (b) participate in a local beach cleanup event or host your own, and (c) spread the word!jconey_melissa_nancyjpg
