About this campaign

The Perthes Kids Foundation organizes the following international camp programs in the USA (est. 2013), Australia (est. 2016), England (est. 2018) & Spain (est. 2019). Each camp generally has between 30-40 kids, ages 7-15, all diagnosed with Legg-Calve-Perthes disease, with around 10-12 adult volunteers, which include a supportive mix of parents, medical students/staff and adults with Perthes. We provide all meals, lodging and activities, within a safe, friendly, and fun environment.

Parents of children with Perthes will find our camps to be an amazing and life-changing, experience for their kids, to finally meet other kids, just like them. Having Perthes and a limp is the "normal", so kids never feel out of place, here. We help build confidence and encourage our kids to always just be themselves. Camp also provides a unique opportunity for parents to meet up, bond and share stories with each other, while their kid is at camp. Please help us continue to provide this life-changing experience to Perthes Kids around the globe. Thank you for your support!
