About this campaign

This fundraiser supports the Capital Area Food Bank through the Food from the Bar Campaign.

The campaign is an annual drive to raise funds to provide healthy meals to children and families during the summer months, and it is just as important as ever this year. Since the start of the pandemic, there has been a 50% increase in food insecurity in the DC Metro Area, with a 60% increase among children.

So why these shirts? Earlier this month I was joking with Jeff (the chair of my practice group and a Food from the Bar DC Committee member), that I wanted a shirt that said I was vaccinated to help put others at ease. He told me I could make a fortune with the idea. So . . . I'm hoping he's right . . . and that we can raise a small fortune for the Food Bank. If we sell 50 shirts, we should raise about $500, which will help the Capital Area Food Bank purchase 1,000 meals for those in need. So let's do this!
