My name is Katie, and I was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma, when I was 17 years old in 2018. Ewing’s Sarcoma is a rare type of pediatric bone cancer.

After battling cancer for the last 6 years, we are now facing the harsh reality that my cancer is now incurable. I am currently continuing treatments like chemotherapy and radiation to help with pain and keep the tumors at bay until my body cannot handle it anymore.



Over the past 6 years, I have relapsed 4 times and undergone some of the most difficult challenges I have ever had to face. To date, I have received: 115 doses of radiation, 60 cycles of chemo, 87 units of blood, 17 surgeries, an autologous stem cell transplant, lost my hair 4x, and spent countless days in the hospital.

Despite having to face these hardships, I have found joy in creating artwork to raise awareness for childhood cancer. I love being able to create my artwork in wearable products like these shirts.

I really love the message behind this design. While going through my cancer treatment, this saying constantly reminds me that it is okay to change. We are all constantly growing and evolving. Although change is sometimes scary, it will all be okay in the end.
