KBJ Academy was birthed in the aftermath of a devastating loss in our lives when the school we both worked for (as women's basketball coaches) shut down suddenly. We were both immediately without an income and so scared for those girls that we had signed to come and play for us. We got them all connected with other amazing coaches then God opened a door for us to continue coaching....together! During that season as we were preparing for our wedding day, God began to give us ideas about KBJ Academy. We wrote them down, developed a business plan and put it away for that season. Our focus in 2012 was getting married. Then in 2014 God gave us permission to go ahead a start KBJ so we did while living in Houston Texas and it was well received and immediately profitable. We eventually moved home to Dallas, TX in 2016 and had to relocate our company but the last 4 years has been a huge growth for KBJ Academy. As you all know, 2020 has been tough for many of us and as entrepreneurs, COVID 19 has impacted our business.
