About this campaign
This fundraiser helps the AVID program at Langston Hughes Middle School. We hope you like the professional apparel we are offering this year. Please reach out to Kristina Burke in room 135 or at ktburke@fcps.edu if you have any questions.
The AVID program at Langston was unable to hold our main fundraiser last year due to COVID. The holiday candy cane sale usually brings in $800 which helps us to go on a field trip with a charter bus. The charter bus is about $2000 and we usually take it to see 2 colleges in one day. My goal is to take them to the University of Maryland and Bowie State University this year, if COVID restrictions open everything up. Even if we can't do that big trip, the money will help us to at least go to a George Mason basketball game one evening. Your support is greatly appreciated. This fundraiser went very well last year and I love seeing everyone in their tie dye! This year is more professional gear and we'll be back to the fun shirts next year. Thank you!
