Sidewalk Talk Volunteer Shirt!

On May 7th 2015, in for 2 hours in 12 locations throughout San Francisco 28 listeners set up chairs and signs, offering to listen to any passerby who wanted to be seen and heard if only for a few minutes.

It was a success and now Traci Ruble (www.traciruble.com) continues to lead this project as a volunteer in her spare time and is writing a book and speaking on the intention and impact of this movement we have made, together.

At the core of what we believe is this:
Connection leads to health.
We need to practice listening to people who are different and take up this practice often.
We listen as equals, not to save or rescue anyone.
Listening with and to people of all faiths, abilities, beliefs, races, identities, and economic status reduces our bias about people and helps us solve big world problems.
