Fight Like a Preemie! - Support Lainey Lewis

Elaine "Lainey" Marie Lewis was born on April 9th, 2017 at only 1 pound 4 ounces and exactly 4 months premature. She has been fighting hard in the NICU and will continue to fight until she comes home sometime in July!

Lainey was born to her parents Bryan and Rachel Lewis. The Lewis family has prayed long and hard for Lainey. After two years of infertility and two miscarriages along the way, Lainey was the tiny miracle they had prayed for! When Rachel's water prematurely ruptured on March 31st, she was ordered to immediate strict bedrest for the remainder of her pregnancy. At that point there was very little hope for Lainey to survive outside the womb, but Rachel laid in that bed (not being able to move or even sit up) just long enough to bring Lainey into this world at exactly 24 weeks.

There is still a long road ahead for Lainey, but we know that later this year she is going to go home to a grateful and loving family, and will grow up to be the strong and beautiful girl she is already proving herself to be!
