About this campaign

Blue Bloods Thoroughbred Adoption and Placement is a sanctuary to all the horses that pass through. Because Blue Bloods is non-profit, additional funding is a huge help in all aspects of giving these horses a great life off the track. All funds raised go directly to Blue Bloods and the care and upkeep of the resident horses and facilities!

      Elizabeth Macdonald, the director, has been able to place well over 200 horses from her farm in NC. Her endless passion and exceptional care for these horses is what makes Blue Bloods such a remarkable program.
      Established in 2013, Blue Bloods Thoroughbred Adoption and Placement, Inc. (BBTAP) is a non-profit thoroughbred adoption program dedicated to providing retired racehorses a second career and a healthy life after retirement. Our organization's goal is to find qualified adoptive homes for off the track thoroughbreds. Our program evaluates each horse and his needs. While in our program, the horse is rehabilitated, rested and then retrained. BBTAP is located at Melrose Farm in Blanch, North Carolina just south of Danville, Virginia.
