http://www.kickstartkids.org KICKSTART KIDS is a nonprofit organization dedicated to giving middle school students the tools and support necessary to resolve conflicts, avoid participating in gangs, choose a drug-­free lifestyle, resist negative peer pressure, and remain in school until they graduate. Students in the program achieve a higher level of academic success and ultimately become more productive members of their communities. KICKSTART KIDS was established in 1990 by Chuck Norris with the help of former President George H. W. Bush.  In 1992, the program was launched in Houston in four public middle schools-­ Central, Burbank, Hamilton, and Hogg. Chuck and Gena Norris serve as Chairman and Executive Chairman. The success of the KICKSTART KIDS foundation is their life’s mission, with a vision to be in every school in Texas.
