MAP Summer Philanthropy

Cancer is the second most common cause of death in the US and accounts for 1 of every 4 deaths. In 2015, about 589,430 Americans are expected to die of cancer, or about 1,620 people per day. As Pharmacists and Kappa Psi Brothers, we strive to look beyond the statistics and pharmacological treatments to help improve the quality of life for our patients and their families. One way we can accomplish this mission is to support the American Cancer Society in their fight against cancer. The American Cancer Society provides research grants, raises public awareness about the importance of cancer screenings and prevention, and urges legislators to pass laws that support cancer research.
