Hailey and Kylie's Girl Scout Silver Award project.

Hailey and Kylie started their Girl Scout Silver Award project a year ago. The Silver Award is the second highest award a Girl Scout can earn. This award gives them the chance to do big things, and makethe community better is the process. So far the girls have helped The Cat People with their Take a Photo with Santa fundraiser,collected shoe boxes from local stores for theBakersfield Animal Shelter, helped TheCat House on the Kings with theirSpring fundraising event, and made cat toys that they donated. One of the Silver Award requirements is that the final project be sustainable. That's where Hailey and Kylie discovered the pet oxygen masks. They decided to team up with the BakersfieldCity and Kings Country fire departments to place a maskkit on every vehicle.
