Mercedes was rehomed as her previous owner is ill. Her foster family, failed !!!....and fell in love with this girl and she now has a forever home. She suffered a Fibrocartilaginous Embolism (FCE) stroke last week, which has left the left side of her body paralyzed. An MRI confirmed the diagnosis. The prognosis from the vet(s) (specialist involved) is good that she will not have another occurrence of this stroke and whatever damage has been done, now she just needs to heal and gain strength and movement back. Dogs suffering from a FCE stroke do best with structured Physical Therapy and rehabilitation.
