Miracles for Madison Wilson T-Shirt Fundraiser

In July, 2015, Madison Kaye Wilson's doctors accidentally discovered she was suffering from an extremely rare form of Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Although all her blood and bone marrow tests showed no traces of cancer, Madison's PET scan images showed a dangerously aggressive sarcoma tumor growing in her chest cavity, abutting up to her heart.

For the next 6 months, Madison received chemotherapy, special HLA platelet transfusions from her younger brother and several rounds of radiation.  After many struggles and a near death experience with septic shock, Madison overcame her illness and was in remission.

Now, just 3 months later, Madison has learned that in addition to the original leukemia cells relapsing, PET scan results also identified additional tumors that have formed in her right breast, abdomen, pelvis, and the lymph nodes in her lower back.  

Unfortunately, these tumors seem to be growing much more rapidly than the original tumor and Madison's health is quickly declining.  All of this has been devastating to the whole family, but especially to Madison and Cole who have only had 2.5 months of a somewhat normal, healthy life, in their new home, with their two little boys, ages 1 and 2.5.

Doctors at MD Anderson will complete tumor biopsies and a bone marrow aspiration on May 2nd, with plans for Madison to start her new chemotherapy regimen the following week.  

Doctors are hoping Madison's body will stay strong and fight hard during her 2nd chemotherapy regimen.  If all goes well, Madison's body will respond positively to her upcoming treatment and it will quickly eradicate all the cancer cells that have invaded her body.  Once in remission, Madison will receive a stem cell transplant.

Madison's father and brother will be commuting back and forth between San Antonio and Houston, as Madison's moer has agreed to temporarily stay with her and Cole to help with medical appointments and the care of their two small boys.
