One balmy summer morning, Joshua Gilmore was roused from a deep sleep with a start. A voice from the beyond had spoke to him and told him that he must venture forth and launch a podcast based on his favorite subject, pop culture. But how could he do this alone!? Needing a Robin to his Batman, a Watson to his Holmes, a Yin to his Yang (pun intended), he sought out his lifelong friend and fellow pop culture buff, Philip Morgan. Together, with their trusty microphone “Snowball” (NO pun intended) and a cobbled together bunch of software and hardware, they dove headlong into the void and Nowhere California was born!! Along their journey (cue awesome 80’s action movie montage music), they gathered friends old and new (cue Top Gun high fives here). In spite of having a rag tag bunch of equipment, the boys from Nowhere charged ahead with a determination that has landed them countless interviews, convention press coverage, and a tremendous professional reputation for a sponsor-free, self promoted venture. Since uncharted territory is their forté, Nowhere California now marches proudly into the realm of crowd funding with the hopes of improving their equipment and evolving their content. Not to mention you can get an awesome shirt to show off at conventions, comic shops, and speed dating sessions.
