My name is Bernadette Rivera and 2016 marks the 7th year that my family and friends have participated in the Light the Night walk in memory of my late husband, Leo Rivera. Leo lost his battle with leukemia just before Christmas 2009, leaving behind our 3 daughters, who were 2, 4 and 6 years old at the time. Each year, we have gathered at this walk to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the amazing work they do and to celebre what an amazing person Leo was. This year, I've decided to start this booster campaign and sell shirts to help raiseunds to donate to the LLS. If you look at the design on the shirts, you will see all the things that were important to Leo: his daughters, his Filipino pride and sports. If you are joining us at the Light the Night walk this year, which will be at Soldier Field on October 22, 2016, please buy a shirt so we can all wear them that night. If you cannot join us at the walk, please consider buying a shirt and supporting our team from afar.
