Recently, the 501st Legion announced our commitment to a first-of-its kind international endowment in a unique partnership with Make‐A‐Wish: The 501st Legion Make-A‐Wish Endowment Fund. This endowment fund will help Make-A-Wish grant wishes to children diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions worldwide with a goal of raisng $150,000 through Legion fundraising efforts by September 2021.
We have recently teamed up with Make-A-Wish and Booster.com to bring you the first installment of fundraising activities, from which all proceeds go directly to The 501st Legion MakeA‐Wish Endowment Fund.
Booster is a free social fundraising platform where you can raise money and awareness for causes that you’re passionate about through the sale of customized apparel.
Orders are placed here and after the campaign is complete the shirts are mailed directly to each person who ordered. Booster calculates your profit per shirt by subtracting our print and operating costs from he total price per shirt. The more shirts sold, the less it will cost to print each shirt, and the more money will be raised for The 501st Legion Make-A‐Wish Endowment Fund!
The 501st legion is VERY excited to announce this special t-shirt has been granted permission by Make-A-Wish and Lucasfilm Ltd. to be vailable to all members and the general ublic to enable the 501t Legion to make an even larger impact for Make-A-Wish!
How does this happen?
First - Exceed our Goals. Order more than you need. You'll be able to give out to other people at events or maybe a great stocking stuffer with the holidays around the corner. Please help us reach our goal of 5,000 shirts sold!
Each shirt sold from the campaign will increase the amount per shirt that is sent to Make-A-Wish.
Our first goal of 2,000 shirts will help us raise over $20,000, which will be going directly to Make-A-Wish under the 501st endowment!
Our ultimate goal of 5000 shirts sold will help us raise over $50,000, which will go directly to Make-A-Wish under the 501st endowment!
When the campaign reaches its close we will notify each supporter of the final amount raised per shirt!There is no maximum donation amount—donations are based on quantity of shirts sold.
Second—SHARE THE GOOD NEWS!
Social media and sharing through the Legion’s grass roots network will be key to making this fundraiser successful. It is open to all Star Wars fans, plus family, friends, other costumers/cosplayers, and all our supporters. We are the “Bad Guys doing Good!”
Once the campaign ends, shirts are going to be shipped out directly by Booster.
