About this campaign
House of Dreams is a sanctuary for cats in need. We provide shelter and care for abandoned and homeless cats with the goal of finding them permanent homes or providing them a lifetime home in our facility. We specialize in overlooked gems, seniors and cats with ongoing medical conditions. In fact, fully one half of our facilities are dedicated to cats that test positive for Feline Leukemia.
All of the kitties at House of Dreams are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and receive any medical care needed, be it special foods, medications, or medical procedures. A high percentage of the cats in our care need special medical attention and oversight. All donations help ensure that every cat we save has a safe place to live and all the medical attention they need.
We cannot continue our mission without ongoing grassroots support. Cast your vote in favor of saving senior cats, cats with Feline Leukemia and other ongoing medical conditions. House of Dreams was formed in April 1999, when 5 volunteers took over an existing shelter that was closing. There were 97 cats living in the shelter at that time; those 5 original volunteers saved those kitties and founded what we now know as House of Dreams.
House ofDreams has an unusually high level of long-term volunteer retention. Many of our volunteers have ben with us for 5 years or more, and several have been with us since 1999. Thank you volunteers! You are what keeps the shelter open year after year.
