About this campaign
While in South Africa I will have the opportunity to minister in different informal settlements, also known as squatter camps, all throughout Johannesburg. Squatter Camps are home to more than 10 million people in South
Africa, they are illegal or unauthorized settlements of impoverished people who live in improper housing and lack the basic necessities of life. These overcrowded settlements breed issues such as poverty, HIV/AIDS, crime, alcoholism, drug and sexual abuse. The unemployment rate within these communities is 65%. Ironically, these squatter camps are located on the periphery of Johannesburg, South Africa, one of the most prosperous and stable areas in its region of the world.
I am beyond thrilled that I will be returning to Johannesburg next summer for a short-term trip to serve again with Impact Africa!!
I would absolutely love your support. First and foremost through prayer. Pray for the work Jesus is doing through Impact Africa and in each person living in Johannesburg. This is one of my favorite shirt designs yet! It's based off one of my mission verses, Isaiah 6:8. This verse was very special to me last year during ministry in Johannesburg, and is a big reason I am going back. I wrote "Here I am" in Zulu, (Zulu is one of the most common languages spoken in the squatter camps.) because it was in Johannesburg when I told God, "Ngilapha".
I absolutely believe that South Africa is where I'm called to be. Nothing would make my heart happier than you coming alongside me and supporting this calling. Thank you so very much! Joburg here I come!!
