My dear son Joseph who is twenty three is an addict and currently in jail because of his addiction with no mental help
I am a mother of a heroin addict I am a recovering addict myself, 8 1/2 years clean!
I have family members and a daughter who struggle with addiction. I am also a professional in the field who continues to advocate, raise awareness and fight stigma so people can get the help they need. I see too many suffer in silence and isolation.
People with addiction are children, husband, wife, Mom and Dad we love them for who they truly are before they became an addict.
My child suffers
I support this campaign because I have several family members that battle addiction. I'm a addict's mom, addict's sister, addict's aunt, addict's wife, and addict's niece. We have to stop the stigma of addiction and address the issues..
I support this campaign because I have two adult children fighting for their lives. I am so emotionally drained, not knowing what the right thing to do. One is in a program and the other has falling back into the grip of fentinal/heron.
In memory of my daughter who died of the terrible disease.
