About this campaign

The Fair Lawn High School Masques, with Mr. Perrotta's family's permission, would like to honor Mr. Perrotta's impact on Fair Lawn High School.

Hello everyone,

We are sorry to have to share information in this format, rather than on a more personal level. If you were not aware, Mike Perrotta had been suffering from a rare form of cancer that returned in September. It is with great sadness that we share that Mr. Perrotta lost his battle and passed away on the afternoon of Tuesday, December 19th. We ask that you keep P and his family in your prayers.

If you have been in Mr. Perrotta's classroom at any point, you know that it is a museum of Masques memorabilia and mementos. The Masques treasure these items and their hope, with permission from Mr. Perrotta's family, is to honor him by possibly creating a display case of some sort for some of these very special items such as posters, programs, props, and set pieces. Other options include creating an inventory of these items, a possible scholarship in his name, or just contributing to any help that his family needs at this time.

In order to fundraise for this endeavor, the Masques will be selling these shirts and all proceeds will be sent to the FLHS Masques in order to achieve this goal. If there are extra funds, the Masques plan to use the funds to honor Mr. Perrotta in other ways.

Featured on the back of the shirt are all of the shows that Mr. Perrotta directed at Fair Lawn High School. The colors used were purposely done in Mets colors as he always pointed out that being a Mets fan was "unfortunately in my blood." The duck has served as a symbol for the Masques.

Once a Masque, always a Masque. And remember: ducks fly together.

Mr. Perrotta was a great teacher. Even when he yelled at someone, it was impossible to get mad him because he was doing it out of love. I am so happy I had him as a teacher because he really helped me build my character and become a better actress.
