About this campaign
Suicide is labeled a “silent epidemic.” The goal of this event is to raise money and awareness for causes focused on suicide prevention through innovative outreach (ONE LOVE) and support for those intimately affected by suicide (ONE HEART).
Hosted by the McEver family in memory of Jeff McEver.
After countless hours of research, we discovered the generous work of Haley Thompson Arias. Talking with her is almost like talking with ourselves, because the stories of our losses and processes of healing are strikingly similar. Haley’s Living Forward Foundation epitomizes our vision of uplifting support for those intimately affected by suicide, and we are honored to bring awareness and support to this worthy cause.
The Living Forward Foundation was created because often times the children who are left behind after a parent’s suicide are forgotten. This organization provides children and teens that have suffered the loss of a parent due to suicide a chance at further education through scholarship funding and adventure-based programs that will foster the discovery of their inner resilience. Through the support of Living Forward Foundation, we give children and teens the opportunity to connect with others who are facing similar challenges in their lives all while learning to support each other, ask for help and develop self-confidence. Together, we can help these kids LIVE FORWARD.
Haley is well into the process of obtaining her 501(c) status with anticipated program implementation by Spring of 2019. Read more about her courageous journey and vision here.
