Rett Syndrome Awareness and help find a cure for Avery!

On October 24th 2013, after 12 long hours of labor our beautiful Avery was born. Soon after she was rushed into the NICU for low blood sugar, breathing issues, and Jaundice where she stayed for 2weeks.

Avery missed many important developmental milestones as she was growing up, which was noticed more by her Pediatrician who referred us to Children’s National in Washington, DC for a variety of testings. After numerous testings Avery was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome on September 15th 2015 by a Genetic Specialist. With Rett Avery is unable to walk, talk, stand, or use her hands purposefully. She also has feeding and digestive issues so uses a G-Tube for all her medications and some feedings.
Last year she was also diagnosed with severe Sleep Apnea so now she sleeps with a CPAP Machine.
Avery will be 5 years old on 10/24/18 but still cannot walk or talk. For her 5th birthday we would like to raise money for rettsyndrome.org to continue their awesome research for a cure. We are using customink because we would love for every well wisher to help us create awareness and help find a cure for this terrible disease. Her smile gives us hope that we will!
