North Florida Medical Sales 5th Annual Christmas Fundraiser

My name is Brooke Emery and I am employed by North Florida Medical Sales & Pharmacy. As a part of a Senior project in high school I began volunteering at our local United Way where I assisted with various tasks around the office. I couldn’t help but overhear when parents would come in looking for help with Christmas presents for their kids. These parents were trying to give their children a normal childhood while struggling to keep a roof over their heads and pay bills. Christmas has always been one of the most meaningful holidays to me, and to think that some kids would not have the opportunity to celebrate broke my heart. I went back to work the next day in tears and asked my bosses--Scott Middleton and Joel Rosenfeld--if I could work with the company to organize a fundraiser to help these families. We are honored to be able to say that this will be our 5th year successfully raising money to help buy presents for over 50 kids here in Columbia County. Each year, we employ creative fundraising techniques to maximize the amount of families that we can assist. The United Way provides us with lists of families in need and we do all of the shopping and wrapping.
