Karia Snowden is 18 yrs old Freshmen at miami University She had to drop out second semester after discovering around Christmas she has a Oligodendroglioma Stage II Brain Tumor it's in the area of her brain that controls Motor Skills and Balance. This is rare for her age group This type can become very Aggressive. We've have had Multiple opinions and traveled wherever needed. Karia's is now being seen by Children's of Cincinnati . We just received the biopsy news, It's very overwhelming and emotional. There looking to start the Fertility process to freeze her eggs. Chemo and Radiation will be a 6-8 week process every day to for treatment. She will do this treatment for a year.It’s very overwhelming and emotional. Karia has worked at Goggin Ice Center since she was 16 and I myself have worked at Miami for 17 years. And have been at Goggin Ice Center since the building open.
