About this campaign
Celebrating the winning Call for Artists design called, "TouCAN -Help Rescued Wildlife!" This artwork got 767 votes on the MightyCause campaign! It was painted with watercolors by Marcie Long (@mlong09) from Dallas, TX (USA). We would like to say thank you to everyone who contributed their talent and money towards this extremely engaging FUNdraiser. We had 42 art submissions from all over the world - all varying in age, mediums, and inspiration. This was our first art fundraiser and we couldn't be more happy with the results.
The motivation behind this campaign was to raise funds for medical equipment for our clinics. Our initial goal was $2,567 to purchase an operation lamp, endoscope, and autoclave for the headquarters clinic. However, with the great success of this fundraiser, we have surpassed our goal and will be purchasing additional medical equipment for our new Release Site clinic in addition to other equipment requested by our medical staff.
The additional money raised from this CustomInk t-shirt fundraiser will be added to the Call for Artists fundraiser. Our goal is to sell 100 shirts with the lovely "TouCAN - Help Rescued Wildlife" winning design. We are excited to see people support Toucan Rescue Ranch and the great work done by Marcie Long. Again, thank you to all those wildlife warriors who donated their talent, money, and love to this worthy cause.
THE TOUCAN RESCUE RANCH MISSION:
The Toucan Rescue Ranch’s (TRR) mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and release Costa Rican wildlife. TRR works with a model that focuses on conservation, education, and research to ensure a brighter tomorrow for native wildlife.
TRR focuses on the care, rehabilitation, and release of national wildlife. We receive and care for confiscated, sick, and injured animals from government agencies. The Toucan Rescue Ranch works closely with the Ministry of Environment and Energy of Costa Rica (MINAE) who rescues wildlife and brings them to our facility. TRR provides sanctuary while giving premier medical treatment, rehabilitation, and eventual release into its natural environment.
