Team Franco Kidney Search

My name is Melissa Franco, I am 24 years old and I have been dealing with Chronic Kidney Disease for 7 years and counting. It was discovered I had renal failure when I was in the process of enlisting in the US Army the summer after my high school graduation. Since then it has been a non-stop battle to prevent dialysis until 2018 when I no longer had a choice. March of 2018 I underwent two surgeries for catheter placement. Since then I have done both hemodialysis and now I am a peritoneal dialysis patient. I am thankful for modern medicine that allows me to continue working full time and maintain my volunteer status on the fire dept to stay active but life would be so much better with a brand new healthy kidney. Which is why, we as my family and friends, are creating tshirts and posting car decals on our vehicles to help reach more public individuals in hopes of finding the right candidate to donate their kidney.
