About this campaign

All proceeds will go to help the Claussen family pay for medical bills and unexpected expenses along this journey to fight AML.

On Monday, April 15, one week shy of his 10th birthday, Cameron Claussen's mom took him to the doctor thinking he had strep throat (he did). But after a full blood test, additional results were shocking and upsetting: Cameron also has Leukemia. He was immediately admitted to the hospital where a spinal tap and bone marrow aspiration test confirmed a diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). A double port was surgically placed Thursday, April 18 which allowed his medical team to start aggressive chemotherapy treatments. Cameron is nervous as any child facing this would be, but he is also a brave warrior who is ready to give this fight everything he has.
Cameron is the oldest of 4 and the son of Ralph and Becky Claussen. His siblings Brandon (8) Savannah (6) and Charlotte (4) adore their big brother and are his biggest fans. They are a strong family who are at the start of a very long and tough journey that could include future visits to Duke Medial Center in North Carolina for a bone marrow transplant. It is anticipated that this will be a legnthy process that will certainly include an array of mediaal cand other expenses. In addition to your prayers, love and messages of support, the laussen's and all of us that love and support them would be grateful for any financial support you might be able to provide them either with donations, t-shirts or Team Cam bracelets.

Cameron's parents are touched by the outpouring of support they have received so far and welcome any new members to Team Cam's Fight Against AML. IMG_0482JPG
