Newton Strong in Honor of Lexi Faye

After hearing the news of the car accident a day after the Newton prom that took the life of Newton High school junior Lexi Faye and injured her three classmates Anthony Burke, Maria Fiore and Nick Chavarria, all of our hearts broke at Morris Sussex Sports for the families of those effected and the entire Newton community. So we created the "Newton Strong" campaign to try to rally support from the surrounding communities for our brothers and sisters effected by this tragedy. Immediately after we posted the "Newton Strong" campaign, the president of Hanover Park's PTO reached out to us to let us know that they were going to make May 23rd "Newton Strong Day" where the entire student body and faculty would wear white and they would sell white ribbons in Lexi Faye's honor (her favorite color was white). Hanover Park's hope was that other schools would follow their lead. And follow their lead they did. Since then, Morris Sussex Sports has been getting hundreds of calls, emails and private messages from school principals, community leaders and even CEO's of businesses letting us know they are joining the Newton Strong campaign to show love and support for the Newton High School community and the families effected, and pledging to donate to Lexi Faye's Heart of Gold Scholarship Fund. Morris Sussex Sports has been blown away by the outpouring of support and makes us so proud to be part of such a wonderful community. To do our part, Morris Sussex Sports is running a campaign to sell official "Newton Strong" t-shirts with 100% of the funds earned to be donated to Lexi's scholarship fund. Unfortunately, the logistics of printing and shipping the shirts will not make the May 23rd "Newton Strong" whiteout day that the community is partaking. However, we hope folks will still buy this tee and wear it to support our brothers and sisters in the Newton community. Again, every penny earned from shirt sales will be donated to the Lexi Faye Heart of Gold Scholarship Fund. Thank you for your consideration! -Morris Sussex Sports
