Austin's Leukemia Fundraiser

Austin is our 22 year old son/brother/friend who was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma in the soft tissue of his head four years ago. Austin fought hard and by the grace of God he won that battle with Ewing Sarcoma. A couple weeks ago Austin went in for his three year cancer free scans and was told he has Leukemia in his blood. Specifically he has secondary AML Leukemia that was brought on by the chemotherapy drugs used to beat his previous cancer.

Austin has completed one round of chemotherapy for this battle with Leukemia. If this round is not strong enough to destroy all the leukemia cells in his body he will have more chemo and possibly other clinical trials if needed. If it is strong enough to destroy all the leukemia he will be moving forward with a Stem Cell transplant to help prevent the leukemia from coming back.

Austin will be a senior at Texas A&M University this fall. He is majoring in Communication with a minor in Anthropology. He plans to go to seminary after graduating with hopes of becoming a Missions/Discipleship Pastor. If you know Austin and our family you know we serve a very mightly God. We know God has a plan for Austin's life and he is shining brightly for the Lord everyday no matter the circumstances he is faced with.

We have started this fundraiser for two reasons:
1. Financial - To help us cover the daily medical expenses of battling Leukemia and the Stem Cell Transplant.
2. We know you are all supporting us with your prayers and words of encouragement. We hope you will join with us in wearing this new shirt. I hope it reminds you to pray, I hope it starts conversations with others who may not know Austin and his strong faith. I hope it can lead others to the Lord.
