Without the Gunflint Trail Canoe Races or Mid-Trail Annual Quilt Raffle & Auction this summer, our Gunflint Trail Fire Department (GTFD), a 501c3 non-profit, faces a substantial financial shortfall. The GTFD is essential to the safety of residents and visitors alike, often rescuing people from our lakes and woods and fighting wildfires that threaten this very special area on the edge of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.
