About this campaign

We have chosen to donate all the proceeds from this fundraiser to Dimensions Educational Consulting (a link to their website is attached below). Dimensions Inc. is a nonprofit led by women and Jewish People of Color that offers training and consulting to universities, houses of worship, & corporations in diversity, equity, and inclusion. In their words, “Dimensions trainings and programs support multiracial, multicultural and multifaith leaders in reflecting, innovating, strategizing, collaborating, and producing deeper equity and healing in themselves and in the world around them.”

Hillel believes Black lives matter and is supporting the fight to racial justice by selling sweatshirts and donating the proceeds to an organization led by Jewish People of Color. It is our responsibility to speak up against racism and support groups who are fighting systemic oppression. "You are not obligated to complete the work, but neither are you at liberty to desist from it" Pirkei Avot 2:21. Social justice is deeply rooted in our community and religion, and we hope this fundraiser offers an opportunity to show unity with the Black community. Additionally, the Hebrew writing on the sweatshirt is the Yiddish acronym בל׳׳מ. This acronym follows the yiddish translation of Anthony (Mordechai Tzvi) Russell as elaborated in Jewish Currents.
