For Sue

Sue Thompson is an outstanding member of the SWI community. You will never meet a more loving soul. She is compassionate about people, dogs, & her town of Sidney, IA.

On Wednesday, July 29th, Sue was involved in a tragic car accident that left a sweet young man deceased and two others, including herself, injured. Sue was in the ICU for a week where she received numerous surgeries by some of the best physicians in the country. Recently she was moved to a trauma unit to continue her recovery. Unfortunately, COVID has restricted family from seeing her. It is unknown how long Sue will be in the hospital, all we know is she has a long road to recovery. Due to the extent of her injuries, Sue must unexpectedly retire and close the doors of her in-home daycare. This has been especially hard for her as she considers her daycare kids her bonus grandchildren.

With all of this being said, I wanted to find a way to help raise a little bit of money for Sue to help pay for any medical costs not covered as well as any equipment she may need once she returns home. SWI has been through a lot, and I mean a lot. We have experienced tornadoes, devastating floods, and too many heartbreaking injuries & losses to count. No matter what, the community has ALWAYS come together to help each other out. These t shirts have a simple statement of, "SWI Proud", and can be worn every day, dressed up or down and all proceeds will be sent directly to Sue.
