About this campaign
We, the all volunteer team at LWNYC, have been called to rescue non-stop this summer. It has been a relentless season, and the need for emergency Veterinary care has been overwhelming. Javier, Seth, Willy, Clara, Jennie, LaCroix, Nova, and Lucky are just a few cats we have rescued who have needed extensive medical care and follow-up.
Did you know that 93% of our operating costs are vet bills? In past years we have averaged about $1,000 per day in medical costs for our rescues. This year we are on track to average HIGHER, and we need your help to raise $5,000 to help immediately with these costs.

4. If you live in the New York City try-state area, please consider opening your home and becoming a foster parent to one of our rescues. Many of our rescues need a safe and loving home to recover in before they are healthy enough to be adopted. Fostering saves lives.

Little Wanderers is a nonprofit organization 501(c) (3) rescuing/TNR'-ing the neediest cats in the toughest areas of NYC. We are at capacity with 180 cats in our care looking for homes. We respond to an average of 75 urgent rescue requests per day, and we care for 200 feral cats daily. Many of the cats rescued by Little Wanderers are sick and injured and require urgent and emergency vetting which is costly, considering the high volume of rescues we take into our care. Weekly, Little Wanderers rescues 8-10 sick and injured cats from the most underserved areas in NYC.
